Jonathan Lim attended and graduated with a Specialist Diploma Course for Band Directing from the National Institute of Education. Prior to that, he successfully completed the Brass Band Instructor Course organized by Band Directors’ Association (Singapore) and Yamaha Music (Asia).
Jonathan is currently Band Director of Anderson Primary School Brass Band while directing junior band program in Bendemeer Primary School and Jurong West Primary School.
He is inspire by the passion drive to develop the beginners and young players to an established and mature ensembles through various programmes and performance opportunities.. He believe “Every child is an artist in the making” and hopes to foster positive development on the mind, body and spirit.
Currently, under his direction at Anderson Primary School, they have attained distinction awards from 2014, 2016 and recently 2018 Singapore Youth Festival.They were also awarded Gold during the Singapore International Band Festival in 2016.
